Greetings, its been a long time since i decided to post a notice.

Im Diana, the founder of PPFR, admin and im not someone you want to mess with.
I have retired from the radio, passing all responsibilities to Drae.
Because of valid commitments, Drae has decided to retire along as well.
Giving Kambodia all the rights and responsibilities of the radio.

I understand during these times, i have not been doing admin work.
Firstly, I would like to explain that, i have retired. I DO NOT NEED TO.
Secondly, Drae still has her admin rights, and she can choose when she wants to interfere. Just like myself.
Thirdly, final decisions are only final when given green light by either Drae, Kambodia or myself. (Not any admin in that matter)
Last but not least, currently i am not interfering with ANY admin work. Only responsible for choosing admins.

I am currently recruiting ONE more admin to help along side by side with Kambodia.
And if you think you have the potential to be one, just like Drae or Kambodia.

Just to show you what we look for in an admin.

Admins :
-Strong command of english/chinese
-Active and fair
-No abusing of admin powers
-Able to interect well with all the djs
-Able to come up with interesting ideas
-Have Skype

For new DJs applying, please also specify a time during the weekends to have a short interview with me for approval.

Alright, here's another update on the timetable!

First of all, I would like to welcome a few new DJs, mainly:

DJ-Destiny, who has experience in this field;
Sunabozu, who would be giving you Japanese Music till the next day!
ForlornBoii, who would keep you company through the sunset;
and finally,
Priest3344, who aspires to be a real DJ one day!

Returning back to the station would be AnQi, taking a few of the 5-8pm slots.

Secondly, despite rumours, the radio is staying as "PPF Radio". I would not be moving or changing the name, as I see no reason in doing so. The radio was created by members of PPF, and it shall stay.

Finally, ADVERTISE THE RADIO! Tell your friends! Post on message boards! Spread the word that there's such a thing as "PPFR"!

Hi all,

Here are the latest updates.

Stream password will be changed. The new password will be emailed to all DJs who have a slot on the timetable.

If you're a DJ but have not fixed a slot, do get back to us regarding that.

The following DJs have also been omitted from the timetable until we are notified of their intention to resume DJing:

And to all DJs, do turn up for your slots unless you happen to have some commitments you need to attend to.

Lastly, the timetable has coloured names! (For now.)
So if you want a specific colour (do specify the colour code, e.g. #FFFFFF, if possible), you can inform Drae and it'll be fixed up for you.

Hi all,

We've decided to resume the intake of new DJs!

In addition, here's the latest update:

Existing DJs who have the stream password but do not have a slot on the timetable are required to confirm a slot latest by 12th March, Thursday.

People who would like to submit applications are required to confirm their slots before their application is approved.

Also, we're considering conducting password changes monthly to ensure that DJs keep themselves updated. However, this plan is only tentative. :D
Should there be any such changes in future, we'll keep the DJs updated via email.

Just want to let you guys know that applications will be on hold temporarily, as we will be sorting out some things.

One main issue for you guys to note:
Those who have been approved as DJs please ensure you have confirmed an official slot on the timetable.

If you don't, please do send an email to PPFR@live.com to get a slot.
DJs without slots will not be considered official unless otherwise notified.

The tentative date for intake of DJs to resume is the 1st of March.

Alright, PPFR's been pretty messed up since the beginning of the school term.

As you can see, I've done a simple change to the layout. If you guys hate it, feel free to send some hate mail. But if you do send a hate mail, please attach a plausible desired layout along with it so you don't make yourself out to be an annoying all-talk-no-action prat.

The idea of this layout change is in line with the following changes/ updates I'm going to make in order to get the radio organised once again.

Of course, I welcome all constructive feedback and suggestions pertaining to anything, from the layout to the PPFR system.
And if you guys want to be linked (under the links section), feel free to inform me or any other admin. (Currently open to DJs only.)

I really don't want to do an entire revamp again like the previous time because it takes too much of an effort.

But because there're now MANY inactive DJs, here's what we're going to do.

1. CURRENT DJs who would still like to DJ (even during weekdays), please send your PERMANENT (but still changeable upon request) desired time slots to the PPFR email. Permanent meaning you're expected to DJ regularly according to your slots on the timetable.
2. Recruitment for NEW DJs are still OPEN. So if you would like to DJ, please send an application to the PPFR email.

Note that the password to the stream will be changed, so those who know the current password but do not wish to continue as a regular DJ cannot open the stream as and when they feel like it.
Thus, please do fix your timeslots.

We'll be updating this space constantly because we might have changes to make or updates to inform you guys of, so don't forget to check back often.

Warning Point System.

Demerit Point System (DPS)

That's right, the Demerit Point System has invaded PPFR.

Before going into detail about said system, we would like to inform all DJs that any warning or demerit point(s) issued before the implementation of this DPS is/are void, and that the DPS would commence its operation with effect from 1st December, 2008, 12.00AM.

The period between the time of publication of this post and the commencement date would be a time to allow all DJs to be informed of this implementation. Hence, DJs are strongly advised not to abuse this grace period by spamming limited files (more on that later), or committing acts that may earn you a Demerit Point (DP). If need be, such DJs would be given a DP in advance, meaning before the official activation of the DPS.

We urge all DJs to keep themselves informed of our updates (which would doubtlessly be posted here) regularly.

List of Possible Misdemeanors

Here's the list of possible misdemeanors that, if committed, would cause the DJ to be issued a warning or a demerit point, where appropriate.

The list would be worked on and updated with time, so do keep yourselves informed.

Pertaining to Songs

- Playing more than 2 spoof songs/ files per hour session.

- Spamming of a particular song during your session.

Pertaining to DJ Sessions

- Being late (20 minutes grace allowed) for your respective sessions WITHOUT informing any Admin or fellow DJs in advance

- Not attending your session WITHOUT informing any Admin or fellow DJs in advance, nor finding yourself a replacement.

- Stealing of another DJ's slot WITHOUT their given permission.

The maximum number of Demerit Points awarded would be 5.

Any DJ with their number of Demerit Points exceeding five would be stripped of their post.

We seek your understanding and feedback as we are trying to improve the system and radio for the convenience and enjoyment of all.

Limited Files (Spoof songs)

Following the sudden increment in odd/ altered songs, files, or even podcasts played on the radio, we have decided to impose a moderation.

Such songs, files, or podcasts include the following:
- Viva La Cheata
- Mee Siam Mai Hum
- Mr. Brown Show Podcasts
- Pokemon-related songs

- Doraemon-related songs

- Barney-related songs

- Sesame-Street-related songs
- She Bangs by William Hung

- In The End by Linkin Park (South Indian Version)

- Benny Lava

- Ji Pa Ban

- Dota (Edited, Chinese version)

..You get the drift.

This new restriction requires all DJs to limit the playing of such files during their respective sessions. A maximum of TWO songs are allowed per hour session.

Failure to comply with the above in spite of prior warnings will result in one demerit point issued to the perpetrator.

NOTE: For Podcasts, e.g. the ones of Mr. Brown Show, you may seek an Admin's permission if you wish to play more than the stipulated number during your session.

What applicants have to go through:
Just a simple interview with at least 2 of the admins while trying out djing on our test server. This is our rating scheme.

2 Judges.
50 marks to rate per judge:

20 Marks : Voice.
10 Marks : Attitude.
10 Marks : Choice of Music.
10 Marks : Interesting Or Not.

2 judges will compile their marks and here are the results:

80 above : Official DJ. (can dj up to 6h/week)
50 above : On 1 week Trial. (can dj up to 2h/week)
Below 50 : Out.

If they are our official DJ,
they will gain access to our Radio's SID and Password and will be given up to 6 hours per week. (usually 4 hrs per week)

If they are our trial DJ,
they would be given up to 2hrs per week.
Attitude, Social, Activeness would be noted.

If they are out,
re-applications are allowed.

Step 1,
Now you have your skin done and all!
Do you see ur skin has this empty space for you to put your name?

Now, to add it on, follow the following steps...

You will see this!

Type in your name, and press enter!
Then drag it to the DJ slot ;D

There you go!
After all this,
Click the save button again.
To save everything into that preset so u wont have to REDO everything again.
Yay, you finished the guide! :D

To go back to the chat,
click the "preset" stated below to go back to the chat.

There you go!

When your session is ending, or when you waiting for someone to take over you,
Right click, enable take over :)
and play a song while waiting for someone to take over you.

Step 1,
If you are playing your songs already,
and when you look at the list "WOAH SO MESSY SIA!"
how to arrange them?
Just simply drag them up or down!

Lets say i wanna play "you want it all"

just click on it and drag it to the top.

Step 2,
Ever wonder what those buttons were?

Add is obviously for adding songs,
you can add songs whenever u want,
it wont affect your current song playing.
Del is obviously for DELETE.
if you still dont get it, kill yourself.
Random is used to randomize ur list.
Cycle is useless.

Try it to believe it.

Step 3,
CONFIGURE UR LAYOUT...
FOR DJS, PLEASE DOWNLOAD WHAT YOU NEED AT THE LEFT NAGIVATIONS.
You should have either 1 background,
and the FCP file, which is available for download there.
If you have all the things you need,
proceed.

Step 4,
Do u see your preset tool?
You should be able to see a DESIGN TOOL at the bottom.

SEE?
Okie, now click it.
You should be able to see this.

Now, since you got all your things you need,
you should be able to understand.

Step 5,
Click preset and follow the following at the bottom.

Browse for the file you downloaded earlier.

Open it and you should be able to see this added to your preset.

Now, double click it.
Your chat will become like that.

DONT PANIC,
i know its white and all. Dont panic yo!
Now, you have set up your preset correctly.
Click on the BACKGROUND as stated below.

Click on the file option and load the imagine u saved earlier on.

You should be able to achieve this after u open the background.

now, click on the button below.

this will appear, just click okay.

Now whenever u log on, this preset will be there.
:D how convienient.

Hi and welcome to lesson 2,
i hope you already know everything in lesson 1,
because if you dont,
you wont understand what im going to say here...

So here goes.

Step 1,
After inputting SID ID and PASS,
you will be brought to this page,

For first time Djs,
you will only be able to see a purple screen with a preset selection,
DO NOT PANIC.

----

Step 2,
Click on one of the presets as shown,

Click on Flatcast 4.15 - ChatRadio Dark
The chat should appear now followed by the DJ mixer.
Do not close your preset selection yet,
you will know why later.

In case you closed it accidently,
RIGHT CLICK on the chat.
This will appear :

Now, click on preset, your preset should appear.

Step 3,
This is very important,
After your chat is shown,
you will see this,

It says "SAFE" chat right?
It will block all the new users listening and they will not be able to chat in the chatbox.
If your chat is "SAFE",
Change it by clicking on it ONCE
It will become "OPEN" chat

IF YOUR CHAT WAS "SAFE"
This will happen.
Listener's name will be "STRIKED" like this

that means that are BLOCKED from the conversation.
To unblock them,
RIGHT CLICK > Unblock all users

They will be unblocked.

Step 4,
To not keep your listeners waiting while you set the customized preset that i will teach later, play a song.
To play a song , make sure you see this.

If you do not see this window (of you closed it),
Dont fret.
Like how i teached just now if your preset disappears,
right click on chat and click on DJ mixer to bring it back.
To add a song in a list , click on "ADD"
as given on the DJ mixer

Browse for where your songs are at,
and choose as many songs as you want via "drag"

And click "OPEN"

This will appear on ur DJ mixer.

Lol, whatever lah, i got so many LJ songs, i know =x

Anyway!
the songs will steam after that, just wait.

If you cant read,
you should not even be a DJ.
So please read carefully.

Step 1,
go to www.flatcast.com
and register for youself an account.
Please input a valid email for activation.

Step 2,
After activating your account,
proceed to log in.

----

Step 3,
After you are logged on,
you will be able to see this on the left navigations.

Click on the link that says
"Broadcaster's area > "

Step 4,
you will be led to page and you will see this in the middle of the page.

Click on the link that says
"take over or start of stream (from another user)-stream password required > "

Step 5,
You will be able to see this after clicking that.

SID id and password will be given to Official Djs and Admins :)
